And just a few weeks ago I was on the Pinoy Power shit list...I am with you about Pacquiao-Cotto....whoever loses will no doubt comport himself in a professional, classy manner, both in and out of the ring....

Looks like you've been "discovered" CA by Pac-man Nation! And they like what they see.
Thanks for the reminder on just how "refreshing" it is to see an athlete like Manny in this day and age. To make those comments after a loss makes me admire the guy even more. I do get concerned that in his homeland he's getting pulled in too many directions, his outside the ring activities may become a distraction, and somewhere he'll lose the essence of "being Manny". I hope I'm wrong.
As a boxing fan, I of course can't wait to see Pac/Cotto. But as a fan of both these guys as people-- good decent, admirable, hardworking guys of character-- I have to admit I'm not looking forward to it because I hate to see one of them lose, and then have to listen to the post-fight critics and haters.

exactly the right article the boxing sports needs today, and not just this sport we should exercise this similar qualities that pacquiao has in politics, in work, and in our lives.
This is a kind of true story that narrates it's not always about winning, it's how you play it with heart. It's not always money, rewards bounce back to you in 2 folds when you fight for the people. And that's what the peoples champ the National Fist is about.

Thanks, kind sir. I do have an article on Max Baer in the Summer Issue of Boxing Digest. You might still be able to find a copy at a newsstand. Also, buy some candles while you're there!

As my words can't hold a candle to Mr. Acevedo's, all I'll say is simply brilliant.
The quality of his writing is fitting for a feature article in The Ring or Boxing Digest. Better yet, a staff writer position.

Thanks to all for the kind and supportive words. Normally I try to respond to most comments, but I was unprepared to see so many of them. By my calculations, it would take me ten hours to respond to each comment. By then my hands would fall off from typing and my eyes would cross.
Thanks again to those who wrote and to those who support The Cruelest Sport.
